Pads X is a simple note pad application for the Macintosh. You can start using Pads X immediately, and you can learn to use most of the features in minutes.
Pads X gives you the ability to use you notes more effectively by organizing them.
Here are some key features of "Pads X":
Keeps text notes with formatting (multiple fonts, sizes, styles).
Notes can be categorized. A single page can belong to multiple categories.
Also saves images.
"Stickies" type tear-off pages can be created. Tear-off pages are saved with the Pads X file.
Several shortcuts for creating a new note
Notes can be exported to text or RTF files.
Customizable toolbar.
Menu of page titles for quick access to notes. Menu for current category is also available in the Dock.
Limitations:
Registration Dialog on exit.
What's New:
Pads X 2.0 will now read and convert files created with the original Pads (the one predating Pads X) thus making it unnecessary to use the previous version of Pads X as an intermediary.
Note that currently the old file format can only be read when Pads X is running on a PowerPC machine, not when running on an Intel machine. (there is a way to force the application to run the PPC version on Intel, which should work). Of course, the converted file will work on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
A bug was fixed which was preventing the "Copy" menu item from being enabled when viewing image pages.
