MP3 Trimmer lets you cut off portions of MP3 files, fast and easy, without re-encoding. Normally, you would need to convert the MP3 file to an editable audio format, like AIFF or Wave, edit the file, save it and then re-encode to MP3 again.
You can even add smooth fade-ins or fade-outs to your new file, or change the over all gain. In addition, you can also join songs together, divide them, repair broken MP3s or simply analyze them frame by frame.
Limitations:
Startup delay.
What's New:
One of the top requests since 2.5 was released has been a larger waveform display. In 2.5.3 you now have the option to enlarge it by more than 200% by just clicking on it with your mouse. Click on it again to reduce the size to normal.
Improved audio scrubbing... In addition, the much appreciated audio scrubbing feature (introduced in 2.5.2) has been improved and now also features an Auto-Loop functionality; by holding the mouse button down after moving the locator, the current location will loop.
I hope to be able to introduce a batch processing feature in the next release. Batch processing is a popular request, and I will do my best to implement it...
Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.1 or later.
About OS 9 compatibility: MP3 Trimmer is a true Carbon application, which means it will work in the OS 9 environment as well. However, the OS 9 environment is not actively supported. Development is done strictly under OS X. Some features may not work as intended in OS 9, and the 'look-and-feel' of the application will not be the same.
