Maskerade is a stand alone application that generates high-accuracy image masks when combined with a special two-shot digital photography technique. With your camera mounted on a tripod, just shoot your object twice with different backgrounds, load them into Maskerade, identify any background lighting gradients, and a high-quality transparency mask is generated for you, with no additional edge detail work required. Extracts perfect sub-pixel masks. Exports as Photoshop file with editable layer mask. Perfect for use with Apple Keynote and Apple Motion.
What's New:
Support for images wider than 4080 pixels (up to 32767 x 32767, memory permitting)
Added TIFF file export
PICT file export now done thru QuickTime (should see no difference, but the code has changed to match TIFF code)
PICT file saving is now disabled if image width exceeds PICT file limitation (limited by rowByte padding in GWorlds, which is 4091 pixels on PPC)
Reduced memory usage when saving Photoshop files
Added progress dialog when saving Photoshop files
Added preference to turn off Photoshop 2.5 file format compatibility to reduce file sizes
Improved sibling file auto-search rules for file names with extensions and "." characters in the names. Updated the manual to reflect the current file name search behavior.
Suppressed low memory warning when opening files on Mac OS X
Color readout now updates when the mouse stays stationary and you switch images with the keyboard
Pixels that have 100% transparency now have their color channels set to black
Removed frames from help pages due to issues with Apple Help Viewer.
Requirements:
CarbonLib 1.4 or later
QuickTime 3.0 or later.
