I'm working on an easy way to locate yourself on this planet for a starting point in TrailRunner. And even though everybody seems to hook on Google Maps I still prefer the open Sources of WMS Servers available.

Especially the USGS Topo Maps and the Maps from Catalonia are such great sources with a detail, most can not imagine if haven't seen yet.

So for this and other reasons I will also release a new small Application called MapDiscovery that let's you browse around the planet and see the best known map sources I know of.
