MacHash is an application that creates cryptographic hashes. OpenSSL libraries are used to generate the digests.

MD2, MD4, MD5, and SHA1 hashes are supported. Great for verifying the MD5 signatures of your downloads. Can also be used to create password hashes.

What's New:
Added Sparkle to support automated software updates.
Made the entire main window a drop target for files and removed the drop box.
Changed the behavior of the hash type selector to calculate a new hash when changed. Replacing the function that just cleared the hash result.
Modified the function of the “Hash” button to be a “Clear” button if a file is dropped.
Setup up the dock icon as a drag and drop target for files.
Added a menu item to open a file for users that don’t want to drag and drop.
