KoolClip keeps track of clipboard history and allows easy navigation. It can "freeze" a particular entry so that you can easily copy new items without affecting the current contents of the clipboard.
You can ensure that KoolClip is running by looking at the red paper-clip icon in the apple menu bar (at the top of the screen).
After you have copied a few selections, if you need to go back in the history and retrieve an earlier selection (which happens all too often!) there are two options:
- Click on the paper-clip icon on the menu bar and select the desired item from the history
- Use the hotkeys (listed here) to navigate forward and backward in the history. With this option, KoolClip briefly flashes each selection in a transparent window. When you see the desired selection, paste it into the application just like any other copy-paste operation.
Here are some key features of "KoolClip":
Store any number of items in the history.
Instant Google Search with hotkey
Lock important items to make them persist until you delete them
Complete support for Unicode, graphics, RTF etc.
Save clipboard across reboots.
Quick access to the history using hotkeys or via menu bar.
QuickSearch clipboard history with just a few keystrokes.
Optionally Preview URLs.
Optionally Search URL pages from the history.
Every aspect of KoolClip is now completely customizable with a very intuitive interface:
icons to display in the menubar
color, transparency, size and position of the flash window
Hotkey assignment
URL preview and HTML search.
What's New:
Item Locking: Ability to keep certain important items persistant in KoolClip history.
Instant Google: Search any item from KoolClip in Google instantly at the click of a button !
Fixed a bug that caused KoolClip to crash sometimes at load time.
