ImageIngester 1.4.3 review
DownloadImageIngester "ingests" images -- transfers them from your camera or card to your computer -- the right way: Two copies are made, typically to different drives; Adobe DNG Converter is optionally run on raw files so the primary copy is a DNG; files are given unique names; modifcation dates (even for DNGs) are reset to the date on the card; JPEGs are verified by reading and decompressing them; and the primary images are kept in a tree organized by date, year/date, or year/month/date (your choice).
