HPConnect is an application for uploading and downloading software and files to the new USB-based HP calculators, such as the HP49G+
HPConnect attempts to provide Mac users the same basic functionality that PC users get from HPConn4x. It uses a simple user interface. On the left, a list shows the contents of the selected directory on the HP49G+. On the right is a panel of command buttons. At the bottom of the command panel a busy/progress indicator appears when data is transferring between the Mac and HP and on the bottom center is a text message displaying the number of bytes free on the HP.
That's it!
What's New:
Lightly tested with the 2.0 ROM - unfortunately, my 49 is incompatible with that ROM so I can't test more thoroughly.
HPConnect now forces rename mode.
HPConnect can now send arbitrary ASCII files without trying to compile them into HP binary objects.
When an USB error occurs, HPConnect automatically disconnects, blanks the directory display and sets the Refresh button back to Connect.
Added document icons.
When a get operation fails, the destination file is deleted.
Now translates HPASCII to Unicode! HP object names are no longer displayed as trigraphs!
(Internal only) Added support for Apple Generic Versioning to the build process.
Updated help to match 0.9 features. Help search now works!
A number of small reliability fixes for the USB layer.
Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.3 or later
HP Calculator.
