Horizon is a BBC Model B emulator for Mac OS X. Horizon (formerly MacBeebEm) was one of the first emulators available for Macintosh.
Despite this, it has fairly good compatibility with original BBC software, allowing you to play titles such as Elite without problems.
The Mac OS X version adds an improved GUI and significantly improved sound to the original version.
NOTE : Horizon cannot run without a copy of the original BBC Model B ROM. This is copyrighted software and thus not included with the emulator. Do not ask me to send you a copy of this file.
What's New:
Fixed several endian bugs; of particular note, screenshots and audio recordings now work correctly on Intel Macs.
File extensions are now included by default when saving screenshots or audio recordings.
Worked around issue preventing keyboard from working in full screen mode in Arnold and Frodo.
Resolved a number of situations where keyboard input would be registered even though the emulator window was not active.
Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.4 or later
For best performance, a Quartz Extreme compatible AGP video card is required.
