Ghostscript Applescripts have been designed to convert Postscript-, EPS- or PDF-files to another format using Ghostscript.

As far as I know only the version 5.5 (MacGS 5.50) of the Ghostscript software offers the necessary command line interface via AppleScript.

Please don't get me wrong, You do not have do use the command line, the AppleScripts do that for You.
