Peter N. Lewis' Daemon is a background-only application. As such it does not provide for any direct ways to quit itself. Utilities such as H. Marty's ProcessWatcher will allow you to kill any running processes (such as Daemon), but multiple steps are often required.
this is where Daemon Killer comes to the rescue.

Daemon Killer is a handy freeware application which will quit Daemon in one simple step.

To quit out of Daemon, simply double-click on Daemon Killer's application icon. You'll then hear the sound of a man being shot, indicating that Daemon has quit.
