Conchyo is a PHP project under GPL. It aims to recreate within a web navigator the interface of the Finder of Mac OS X. It tries to offer ergonomy, facility and speed thanks to the column-view inherited from NeXT.
Currently, Conchyo lets user to handle remote files on the server to constitute and manage a web site tree, without constraints of order or a sections' number. Conchyo includes an integrated editor to generate HTML documents, as well as an upload module for different types of documents (images, video, PDF, files...). In the future, it will authorize the management of users through Open LDAP and data bases, for a complete remote server administration, in a as simple and convivial way as it would be with a classical, local application.
The interface and HTML documents generated by Conchyo can be personalized through themes (colors, fonts...) and models (put on page). A "standard" view is proposed for the public part of the site. Conchyo is also available in two languages (English and French)
Developed in PHP, Conchyo can be installed on a great number of web hosters.
What's New:
This update is focused on security: it especially corrects two bugs that allows to display the web site preferences.
This release corrects an uncompatibility with Free, which disable to read Preferences.
