The V2 to V3 CmapConversion program converts the concept maps from V2 of the software to the format used in V3. The program searches the hard drive for V2 client or server programs installed and converts the corresponding concept maps.

By contacting a conversion server at IHMC, links to Cmaps and other resources in remote V2 servers are also converted, linking to the corresponding V3 resource on the converted remote server.

The CmapConversion program is part of the CmapServer V3 installation. To convert concept maps from a client V2 CmapTools program, the CmapConversion program must be run.

Note: Concept Maps in the V3 format cannot be converted back to V2 format.
