bitShifter is based on military grade encryption (AES-256) and the latest within lossless compression technology (Block ZIP). A locked/bitShifted document can only be unlocked and opened on the same computer it was locked on.
Authorize & Deauthorize: To unlock and open a bitShifted document on another computer, you have to deauthorize the bitShifted document (it's still encrypted). Then just move the deauthorized bitShifted document to an iPod/other media or via Ethernet to another computer. Open the deauthorized bitshifted document with unlock and bitShifter automatically will authorize and lock that bitShifted document to that computer.
