ASCheckbox offers a mixed state in addition to the normal checked and unchecked states. This state is represented by a dash (-) in the checkbox. It also draws its Aqua background pattern correctly even if placed on a tab panel or placard, which the built-in checkbox doesn't at this time

ASCheckbox is a REALbasic plugin that provides a check box replacement for Mac OS X that offers a mixed state and always draws its background pattern correctly.
