The Adjust Indents package, for Tex-Edit Plus, contains two scripts (Tab add and Tab subtract). One script removes a tab at the beginning of each line the selection touches, and the other adds a tab at the beginning of each line the selection touches.

Completly freeware for non-commercial use.
