3D Layer's raytracing render engine is powered by Conoa. Every time you use this plugin, the render will give you high quality, beautiful reflections and refractions.

3D Layer creates three-dimensional layers with visible 'thickness' that can be bent, warped, and modeled.

After Effects’s built-in 3D layers are similar to postcards. They have no depth, so they appear as very thin layers floating in space. While this is fine for some animations, objects in the real world have ‘thickness’ or depth to them. You need to add this depth to your layer to make it appear truly 3D.

Imagine a layer in After Effects that looks like a wooden sign swinging open or a waving flag. Then imagine that object with a 'thickness' to its edge. If you are trying to create more realistic objects in After Effect’s 3D space, we feel that 3D Layer offers up a flexible, creative solution.
