Zelda Applet is an applet that I spent perhaps 4 hours on, trying to mimic the look and feel of the Legend of Zelda. Unfortunately, applets don't exactly lend themselves to gaming purposes.
Currently there is a one room dungeon with link it, you can move him around and attack things while listening to music and sound.
The applet is open source, I haven't any real desire to complete it, but it solves many of the Java game creation mysteries people face out there and the code works quite nicely in a standalone application instead of an applet.
What's New:
Major graphics code overhaul
Sword problems fixed
Thread execution changed around to run at 30fps.
