Wx is a specialized internet weather station app for Mac OS X that downloads and processes weather information and forecasts. The software links to free XML and WML data on the internet from the National Weather Service, and presents it in a user-friendly interface with a transparent "tinted glass" main window. Wx can be configured to track weather conditions and forecast information for three locations, and it can download up to five weather maps or images. The information can be downloaded manually, or the software can be configured to download the information automatically, on a periodic basis. An optional data logging feature will record weather information to text files.

Note: Mac OS X 10.3.9 introduced a bug involving the OS X WebKit Framework and Javascript. This affects Safari and applications like Wx that make use of the WebKit. It is recommended that Wx users not upgrade to 10.3.9 at this point.
