The Return Receipt Entourage script returns a read receipt to the sender of an e-mail message when the message is downloaded to your computer if the sender requested read notification. The receipt is a short message that tells the sender when you received the message and gives brief information about the original message.

Directions are also provided for requesting read receipts.

You will see a dialog box for each read receipt request asking you if you want to send a receipt. This prevents automatic sending of receipts to spammers, etc. Thanks to Andrew Morton for this addition.

The script is free for personal/non-commercial use. There is a small fee for commercial/business use.

Request Receipt 1.0: I think that in the present Microsoft Entourage can only be configured to request receipts for messages you create if you add an additional header to the account from which you are sending the massage.
