OpenUp allows you to double-click on compressed and archived files and have them open in the Finder without having to resort to the command-line tools gnutar and gunzip. It also supports opening many other common, and uncommon formats.

As an added bonus, it also allows you to create compressed archives of files using a Services menu option.

It supports decompressing PAX, GNUTAR and ZIP archives, as well as arc, arj, atob, uuencode, bzip, toast, gzip, compress, lha, pax, zip and zoo. More formats than Stuffit Expander.

Here are some key features of "OpenUp X":
Double-click Workspace decompression of many formats
Services support for .tgz, .paz and .zip compression (expandable)
Extendable by knowledgable users
Includes the required binaries for handling many additional formats
Full commented source code available.

What's New:
Longstanding terminate bug fixed (thanks Carl Lindberg!).
