I found myself sitting down in front of my Mac several times per day to check my email, when perhaps 50% of the time I had no new messages. I wanted something to actively alert me to new emails. My Mac is on all day, but I'm not always in front of it. My cell phone, however, is always within reach.

Mail2Cell forwards new emails from Apple's Mail application as text messages to your cell phone (or any other email address).

Limitations:
The Unregistered version will quit after 1 hour.

Requirements:
Mail2Cell has been tested on Tiger, OS X 10.4, with all recent updates, and Mail 2.0.2.
It’s entirely possible that Mail2Cell will work on Panther and Jaguar, but such use will not be officially supported.
