Launch! is a Mac OS X application for launching and controlling login to Telstra's BigPond Cable network. Launch! has two possible interfaces - a window interface, and a status icon in the menu. Usage statistics are automatically updated to show current unrated usage. Links to useful cable related web pages are provided in a slide out drawer and the status menu.
If you go over your monthly download allowance limit, Launch! can inform you of expected costs that you will incur. Preferences allow you to set your login name and password, along with other options such as usage statistics updates, the type of plan you are on (for calculating costs when going over your monthly allowance), applications to launch on connection etc.
You can also automatically retry connecting should connection fail. The icon for Launch! also shows you when you are connected and a usage statistics meter.
Launch! is donation-ware. This means Launch! is free, but donations are appreciated. The software has no nag screens or limited functionality. I hope some people appreciate the work that has gone in to Launch!. Donations made help me to enhance Launch! and create other Mac OS X applications.
