Keyword Manager offers you a new way to assign keywords to your pictures.
Keyword Manager introduces a brand new way of assigning keywords to your photos in a simple and efficient way. Keyword Manager expands the functionality of your familiar iPhoto setup, and will greatly enhance your photo management experience.

Plugs directly into your current iPhoto setup

Keyword Manager loads as a plug-in directly into iPhoto 6 using SIMBL, which ensures compatibility. Keyword Manager works directly on top of iPhoto's functionality and therefore is completely transparent to iPhoto. Any keywords you have added to your photos before installing Keyword Manager will continue working, and all keywords you assign and create using Keyword Manager will still be there if you choose to uninstall the plug-in.

Assign and manage with style

Keyword Manager consists of two windows, which blend in nicely with iPhoto's existing photo-editing windows, by using the same style and colors.

The Quick Assigner window is where you will do your keyword assigning. You get a nice overview over what keywords your current photo selection has and can easily add or remove keywords. It also has a preview of the current selection so that you can quickly see which photos you are working with.

The Keyword Manager window is where you can rapidly sort your keywords into different categories and order them. It also has a filtering function with which you can easily find all photos with a specific set of keywords.

Assign keywords in full-screen mode

The full-screen mode introduced in iPhoto 6 made iPhoto an even more powerful tool for editing your photos. Keyword Manager makes sure that you have 20/20 vision when you keyword your photos, by allowing the Quick Assigner to work directly in full-screen mode. Keyword Manager also allows for keyword assignment in places where iPhoto does not, such as when in editing mode.

Hierarchical grouping of keywords

When you have a large number of keywords, grouping them into categories is an easy way of staying on top of things. This is of course implemented in Keyword Manager in a fashionable way.

You also have the option of grouping your keywords hierarchically, where each keyword can have subkeywords. For example, you can have the keyword Paris as a subkeyword to France. Every time you assign Paris to a photo, France will also be assigned to that photo.

Smart and fast auto-completion

When using the Quick Assigner to add keywords to your photos, there are some clever tools available to assist you. The text field in which you enter the keywords has auto-completion for all the keywords that already exist. It will remember which keywords you assign most recently and suggest them first.
Creating new keywords is as simple as entering them in the text field and pressing enter. Adding to the list of smart features, Keyword Manager will warn you, when entering a new keyword, if it seems likely that you have misspelled an existing keyword.

Easily manage hundreds of keywords

Keyword Manager is create to handle a large number of keywords; probably all you are ever going to need. To help you handle all these keywords, Keyword Manager provides you with a set of tools, such as smart auto-completion when assigning and quick-find of keywords in the manager. Keyword Manager works in synergy with iPhoto to ensure high performance even with thousands and thousands of photos.
