BetterSearch is an extension for Firefox which enhances Google (all international flavours, too), MSN Search, Yahoo Search, A9, Answers.com (web results), AllTheWeb, del.icio.us and Simpy.com by adding previews (thumbnails) and Amazon product images and info (type, price, rating for US/DE/UK/CA/FR products), a quick preview feature as well as "Open in New Window", "Site Info" and "Wayback Machine" links to the search results.

When you use BetterSearch and click on an Amazon result, you support me and the further development of the extension if you actually purchase a product.

BetterSearch does not modify the ranking of any search results. It only looks at the search result and inserts additional information (thumbnails / product images, product prices). There is no "hidden promotion" involved. The results are not changed in any way, the order is the same, and the search requests are not tinkered with in any way. The only thing that is added to the Amazon search results (in case there are Amazon search results) is my Amazon ID. Actually, other extensions do the exact same thing, but you're not told about it here.
