AIFF from PCM is a freeware tool to convert files containing stereo or mono, as linear PCM encoded sound data, into AIFF format.

You can often get a file containing linear PCM sound as a result of demuxing (extracting) individual streams from a DVD disk. For many applications sound data as PCM has to be converted e.g. to AIFF to be able to use it.

AIFF from PCM can handle files containing PCM sound data as follow:
• mono or stereo
• 8 kHz, 16 kHz, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 96 kHz
• 8 bit, 16 bit or 24 bit

This version cannot convert compressed, multichannel, non-linear, 20 bit nor AC3 sound data.

Here are some key features of "AIFF from PCM":
Easy and intuitive to use
Test playback
Accepts large files as input (e. g. sound longer than 2 hours and/or file size bigger than 2GB)
Multithreaded.
What's New:
Compatible wit Mac OS X "Tiger"
Check for updates
Fixed crash occurring at second converting
Other minor changes and fixes.
