Using Osymo Teacher

After opening an existing course file or creating a new one use Osymo Teacher like following:

Choose a lesson in the top combo box
Read the question/word/phrase etc. in the first white box ("1. Read the question")
Think or say the answer ("2. Say/think the answer")
Press "Show answer" button and check your answer
If your answer is correct and you are 100% sure press "Excellent", if your answer is correct but you are not 100% sure press "Average", if your answer is wrong press "Bad"

If you press "Excellent" Osymo Teacher will not ask this question again.

After learning of the lesson (i.e. all your answers were marked as "Excellent") you can start new learning/test cycle by "Lesson > Reset".


Creating a Course

New course is created by choosing "New" menu item. For editing your course use "Course > Edit Lessons..." menu item.

Top list box - list of all lessons in course
New - creates new a lesson
Delete - deletes the selected lesson
Rename - renames the selected lesson
List View - list of entries in the selected lesson: A - question, B - answer, R - rank of your knowledge (0-100)
Add... - adds new entries into the lesson (same as "Lesson > Add entries..."). See below for more info on adding entries.
Delete - deletes the entry
Edit - edits the entry

After creating a new course you are asked for a file name of new course ("Save as" dialog).


Adding entries

Question and answer (A, B) are separated by | character, each
question-answer pair is on a new line. Example:

Japan|Tokio
France|Paris
Russia|Moscow


Menu Items

File menu

New - creates a new course
Save - saves a current sate of a course. You need not use this item (except before using Save As...), the course is saved automatically.
Save As - saves a current course under a new name
About - about Osymo Teacher
Exit - terminates the application

Course menu

Edit Lessons... - opens a dialog for creating/adding/deleting lessons and entries
A -> B - normal Question -> Answer mode
B -> A - Answer -> Question mode

Lesson

Add Entries... - adding of entries
Reset - resets your knowledge ranks
