Easily calculate medication doses:
Input:
Weight (kg or lb & oz)
Dose (mg/kg/day, µg/kg/dose, etc.)
Doses per day, single bolus doses
Medication strength or solution concentration (mg/ml, etc.)
Output:
Dose displayed in mg, ml, AND tsp (for liquid meds)
Round dose up or down to nearest fraction of a pill or ¼ tsp for convenient dosing
Plus final dose is displayed in mg/kg/day (or µg/kg, etc.) for the clinician to double-check the calculations
Available with Right and Left handed display
Medication formulary includes commonly used drugs. Generic names, with Brand-name cross-reference. Now with Brand-name search (available on Palm OS® version 3.1 or greater)
Requirements:
This education software is shareware, which means you can download and use RxCalc 4.1 for free during the trial period (usually for 30 days). At the expiration of the period you will have to buy the medical product for $31.00. RxCalc 4.1 is available at regnow and Pocket-Doc.com website. RxCalc 4.1 supports different languages (including english). It works with PalmOS.
