Phoinix 1.4 is emulators software developed by Bodo Wenzel.
Phoinix ['foiniks] is the greek word for date palm. It is also the name for the mystic bird which burns itself after 500 years and is reborn out of its ashes.

In this context Phoinix is the name of a Nintendo Gameboy emulator for the Palm Computing Platform. It was formerly known as PalmBoy (this link might be broken), but Palm Inc. claims the word "Palm" as a trademark.
What's new in this release:

  • The main new feature is the support for multiple saved states per game. Whatever you like to play best, adventure, action, or puzzle: No more fear of taking the wrong decision. Just a quick save, and you can return to this point in time...
  • Additionally Phoinix has received some improvements:
  • High resolution icons, and uncompressed thumbnails on devices with high resolution displays.
  • An option to show the wall clock as info field while playing.
  • Better compatibility for some games.

    Requirements:
  • Palm OS 3.0 or greater
  • Files of Gameboy games. Please note that you have to own the commercial games you like to play!
    This system utilities program is freeware, so you can download and use it absolutely free. Phoinix 1.4 supports english interface languages and works with PalmOS.
