MGMaps can connect to a GPS receiver over bluetooth or use internal GPS features on some phones in order to automatically display the map for your current position.
Here are some key features of "Mobile GMaps":

  • GPS connectivity: connect to a GPS device over bluetooth or use the internal GPS to view maps or aerial imagery for your current location. Enable GPS synchronization to continuously move the map as you move around.
  • Search for places or businesses, view the results including addresses and phone numbers. Do you want to call any of them? You can do that directly from Mobile GMaps!
  • Bookmarks: store your favorite places or search results to jump quickly to any of them.
  • Maps and satellite imagery: view various types of maps and aerial images, zoom in and out, mark favorite places with map pushpins
    What's new in this release:
  • Fixed the Get Directions feature — upgrade to v1.32.03 to restore support for directions in MGMaps. In addition, you can now see an estimated duration for each segment of a route.
  • You can now choose between Google and Traffic.com as the provider for traffic information.
  • Place names are displayed at the bottom of the screen by default (only for the selected or center place). You can change this behaviour in Settings/Screen/Show names for.
  • The GPS icon was changed (it's no longer that bluetooth icon since GPS is not always accessed over bluetooth).
  • Other fixes: search results are displayed correctly, the GPS icon was changed, marker images are always shown for waypoints on a route, the 2 key clears results or shows again the last search results.

    This education program is freeware, so you can download and use it absolutely free. Mobile GMaps 1.32.03 supports english interface languages and works with Java.
