GPSacreage 1.0 is gps software developed by WildSoft.
Want an easy way to export the GPS data to your PC? The PDB files where GPSacreage saves the tract data is backed up on your PC each time you make a Hotsync. Now you can use another PC based application by the same developer to convert those backup PDB files to ascii text format. It makes it possible to use GPSacreage now also as GPS datalogger. Read more about it in the updated documentation. Furthermore a new included program allows you to export the files to ESRI shapefile format.

The program now supports the Garmin iQue 3600. This excellent device has a built-in GPS which makes it an ideal host for GPSacreage. The software will automatically detect that your device is a Garmin iQue and it will use the built-in GPS. If the program is run on any other PDA device, then the program will still look for the GPS on the serial port.

GPSacreage is available in three languages, English, German and Swedish.
Here are some key features of "GPSacreage":

  • Support normal serial NMEA based GPS
  • Supports Bluetooth GPS devices like the Emtac
  • Supports the Garmin iQue 3600
  • Land area to be measured can be any size or shape.
  • The software also incorporates an \"odometer\" that displays the total traversed distance. (Not just point-to-point distance.)
  • Shows the circumference of the perimeter.
  • The ability to export results to the PalmOS notepad
  • The ability to export GPS raw data (Latitude, Longitude, Easting & Northing (in meters), so that it can be manupilated on a PC.
  • The option to interface directly with your GPS, or enter coordinates manually via stylus.
  • If you do not own a GPS you can also read the co-ordinates from a map and enter it manually into GPS Acreage.
  • A special included windows program that lets you convert your captures track to ESRI Shapefile format so that you can view then in normal GIS applications like Arcview and Arc Explorer.
  • There is a 0.1m resolution which makes it useful for determining GPS drift.
  • Supports BTogggle
