TRx 3.01 is multimedia software developed by NCH Swift Sound.
TRx is a phone call recorder program for desktop computers. TRx lets you manually record telephone calls on a phone line connected to a voice modem, a telephony card or with a sound card connector lead (see below). It works under on both Windows and Mac OS X.

TRx also works as a caller number ID display system and lets you put calls on-hold (and plays on-hold music and messages).

Is this the right software?
TRx was designed for business call centers where a copy of TRx is installed on each workstation and connected to each telephone using a Handset Call Recording Connector or voice modem. It can also be used in a similar way in other businesses or at home when you need to manually record calls.

This application, the manual call recorder (TRx), is used where you need to manually record some calls (or parts of calls) by pressing the record button to start and stop recording on 1 line. For automatic recording or to record more than 1 telephone line on the same computer at the same time, the VRS Call Recorder software is required. If your are installing TRx to play on-hold messages but have a telephone system (PBX) you may need to separately install the IMS On Hold Messages Player.

Here are some key features of "TRx":

  • Records telephone calls using a voice modem or telephony device or a suitable connector from your phone line to your sound in socket.
  • Displays caller ID of all incoming calls (subject to hardware and telephone network features).
  • Lets you put calls on hold with a hold button (professional music and messages on-hold included).
  • Caller ID logging of all incoming calls.
  • [Optional] Recording-started prompt, recording-stopped prompt, and record tones.
  • Save recordings as wave files or send recordings by email.
  • Edit recordings with a sound editor.

  • Note: The Mac version only works with a connector (not a modem).
    This mac software is shareware, which means you can download and use TRx 3.01 for free during the trial period (usually for 30 days). At the expiration of the period you will have to buy the multimedia product for $28.00. TRx 3.01 is available at regnow and NCH Swift Sound website. TRx 3.01 supports interface languages and works with Mac OS X.
