Sunlit Earth 1.0 is information software developed by Texas A&M Astronomical Observatory.
Based on the popular Sunlit Earth Java application and applet created by Don Carona of the Texas A&M Astronomical Observatory. This simple and aesthetic widget will display the sunlit portion of the Earth. The widget updates once per minute and has no user preferences. The Earth images used by the widget are courtesy NASA and NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS).

Requirements:

  • Java Applet Plugin.
    This dashboard widgets program is freeware, so you can download and use it absolutely free. Sunlit Earth 1.0 supports different languages (including english). It works with Mac OS X.
