Sound Shuffler 1.7 is system utilities software developed by No U-Turn, Inc..
Sick of the default alert sounds that came with your Mac? We are too. This Prefpane will allow you to randomize the beep, each time it occurs.

It also features a random sound feature, where it will randomly play sounds at an interval of your choice.

You can also insert your own sounds to the mix. Everytime your system throws an alert beep at you, you'll be welcomed with a randomly picked sound effect instead. Sound Shuffler has two sound playing engines.

One uses QuickTime to do the work, which means you can replace your system beep with any format sound that QuickTime supports. Examples are AIFF, MP3, WAV (Windows format), etc.

The other engine is an updated version of the one used with the original Sound Shuffler for Mac OS Classic. This handles the older Mac style 'System 7' sounds. Just drop your sounds into the designated sounds folder, and Sound Shuffler begins using them in place of the beep immediately.

What's New:

  • Added new "Get More Sounds" button to the prefs pane.
  • Improved the installer.
This system utilities software is freeware, which means you can download and use Sound Shuffler 1.7 absolutely free. There's no need to buy the product. Sound Shuffler 1.7 supports english interface languages and works with Mac OS X.

Downloading Sound Shuffler 1.7 will take several seconds if you use fast ADSL connection.
