QMidi 1.8 is multimedia software developed by Bruno Di Gleria.
Midi is the ultimate MIDI/Karaoke player for the Macintosh. It can play allkinds of MIDI files, no matter where they came from, in any order, usingeither the QuickTime musical instruments, Opcode OMS, MOTU FreeMIDI system,or serial port interface. QMidi also incorporates a MIDI mixer + GS effects.

Here are some key features of "QMidi":

  • Supports Midi/Karaoke format 0 and 1, AIFF/AIFC, MP3 (QT 4.1), AAC (QT 6), Sound Designer II, uLaw (AU), WAV, AVI, DV, Motion JPEG, MPEG, CDG.

  • Pitch transpose, Chord transpose.
  • Unlimited number of play lists.

  • Unregistered version has no other limitations than the annoying request at startup.

  • Universal Binary support for Mac OS X which provides native support for Macintosh with Intel Core processors. QMidi supports the enhancements to performance introduced by the new MacIntel chipsets.
  • Classic version is no more supported.
