Precision Plug-in 1.8 is developer tools software developed by Bob Delaney.
Precision Plugin for REALbasic is a light version of my MPCalc plugin. It has a different and easier to use interface.
It can handle numbers with up to 30,000 decimal digits. It can also handle numbers whose absolute values lie between about 1e-40000000 and 1e+40000000.
As a Carbon, PPC, and x86 plugin, it can be used to build Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X, or Windows applications.
It has almost all the REALbasic built in functions at much higher precisions. In version 1.6 I've added a "last" argument. It's described in the documentation.
In version 1.7 there is a random number generator, which can be reseeded. v. 1.7.2 speeds up the factorial and xToy functions. Version 1.8 adds a primality test based on Victor Shoup's NTL implementation of the Miller-Rabin Test.
This mac program is freeware, so you can download and use it absolutely free. Precision Plug-in 1.8 supports english interface languages and works with Mac OS X.
Downloading Precision Plug-in 1.8 will take several seconds if you use fast ADSL connection.
