It has two functions. One is the song "search-and-play" in which you type the song or artist name, hit the return key and presto your song starts playing! If more than one song matches the criteria, all matches are displayed and you make pick which one you want to play.

If you do the artist search, all songs by that particular artist is brought up. The second half is a nice and easy controller where it displays the track info, plus fast forward/next track, play/pause, rewind/back track, mute on/off and volume control.

Also in the application menu you are able to open the iTunes prefs, and use shuffle, repeat, rank current song out of 5 stars, set genre and more.

Intel compatible under Rosetta.

What's New:

  • I have gone from version 1.1.8 right to 1.2 because I have accomplished everything I wanted to when I started this program. It still will get minor updates here and there, but for now this is it. Song, artist and album name scroll if they are too long.
    This mac program is freeware, so you can download and use it absolutely free. Play MiniTunes 1.2 supports english interface languages and works with Mac OS X.
