    Affordable high end video for post production or broadcast has arrived. DeckLink lets you connect to SDI digital or analog broadcast decks for high end editing, design, paint and broadcast graphics.

    Requirements:
  • Final Cut Pro HD v5.1 and up
  • Minimum system requirements for power and stability are a Dual Processor Power Macintosh G4 1.25 GHz, or any Power Macintosh G5 with PCI-X, for standard definition video (only) using all DeckLink SD cards.
  • A Dual Processor Power Macintosh G5 system, including PCI-X and with Mac OS X 10.4 “Tiger”, is recommended for DeckLink HD cards when used for HDTV work. This fast system is also required when running down conversion with standard definition DeckLink cards.
  • Uncompressed HD video files require extremely fast disk storage, and we recommend the Apple Xserve RAID storage, configured with 14 disks, and at least 512 MB of RAM cache on each controller. This disk array has been tested with DeckLink HD to obtain about 220 MB/sec read speeds, and is a good storage solution for uncompressed HDTV.
  • ATTO UL4D based disk arrays are also highly recommended as this PCI-X card provides for even greater speeds when partnered with a suitable disk array, eg. U320 units from Huge Systems.
    Blackmagic DeckLink 5.8 supports different languages (including english). It works with Mac OS X.
